Radcliffe mentions filming of Snape’s memories
//By Matheus at Jun 27th 2010

In an new interview released by MTV, that was given during the opening of the theme park The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, the actor Daniel Radcliffe mentioned the filming of the chapter “The Prince’s Tale”, when we are presented to important expalnations about the series’ plot.

“One of the key scenes in the series happens in this room, where towards the end of ['Deathly Hallows'], Harry learns something about Snape’s past in relation to him, and that takes place in this room. In fact, actually, it takes place pretty much here,” he said, motioning to where he was standing. “And that is kind of pretty much possibly the key scene in the series, you might say. There’s a certain argument for that.”

Dan also pointed out the main difference between the park and the film set.

“It does look like 700 feet of rock and castle,” “What’s amazing about this place in general — not just the ride but the place overall — is that it is actually more complete than the film sets. Because, you know, you go in the Great Hall, and you go outside and you see it is actually made of wood and scaffold. As Tom Felton said, he’s expecting to see a big green screen at any moment, whereas here it is all just here, and it is kind of amazing.”

And revealed that he waits anxiously for the day that he’ll be able to take his own kids to the park. “Then it would be a real, real nostalgia trip to come back here.”

“Deathly Hallows” arrives at the theaters on November, 19th.

Tom Felton commnets on his last day of shooting DH
//By Matheus at Jun 16th 2010

For several weeks, we have announced the farewell of several actors to the Harry Potter saga; actor who have worked in the last movies or since the beginning, almost a decade ago. Last week it was Tom Felton’s turn, who plays Draco Malfoy, to say goodbye to the series.
In an interview to the Press Association, the actor commented on his last day on the set and about his expectations for the future. Seeming to be really moved, Tom reveals that the last moments were, for him, a surprise:

“I was expecting this big emotional breakdown but instead the first AD (assistant director) got out the microphone and listed the names of people who it was their last day and forced the crew for a ripple of applause and then we walked off and that was it,”

Tom admits that he oly didn’t cry in front of everybody because he intends to come back to this studio one day. He, then, imagines that after the last movie is released, everyone (cast and crew) will get together to celebrate.

“We have to don’t we? Rumours are that there is going to be a mammoth party. I’m very excited for that, hopefully we’ll get a chance to say our farewells and hug everyone goodbye.”

To finish, Tom talks about his excitment about the opening of the theme park in Orlando, that will take place on June, 18th. He affirms that this encounter will help to restrain the emotions of ‘goodbye’. Touched, he says:

“It’s good for us because if we ever have withdrawal symptoms we can just walk around the park and be like, ‘yeah we’re back!’”

We thank Tom Felton for his amazing work!

Stay tuned on Ish!

The filming of Harry Potter comes to an end!
//By Matheus at Jun 16th 2010

Last Saturday, June, 12th 2010 it was announced the end of an era. An expected, foreseen end. Still, it is touching to read the words by Warwick Davis, interpreter of Prof. Flitwick and Griphook, the goblin who informed us, through his Twitter page, about the end of filming of this saga that, in a special way, moves with all of us.

“The end of an Era - today is officially the last day of principal photography on ‘Harry Potter’ - ever. I feel honoured to be here as …the director shouts cut for the very last time. Farewell Harry & Hogwarts, it’s been magic! x “

On another important date, July, 15th 2011, our generation will say goodbye to Hogwarts, Harry, Ron, Hermione and many others enchanting characters. Fortunately, the saga won’t die. It will be the end of an important cicle, this is a fact. But Hary Potter has been consolidated as something way more meaningful and stronger than books and movies: for most fans of the series, HP is a feeling, is a lifestyle.

Don’t let this magic die. To finish, a quote by Breno Alvarenga, columnist of Ish

I am happy to know that I have my eyes blind by magic. Even happier to recognize that this magic is inside of me and inside the world that now I see with these new eyes of mine. I can petrify memories, estupefy bad feelings and explore my essence with a good Lumus Maxima.

Stay with us ’till the end!

Heyman talks about the division spot of Deathly Hallows
//By Matheus at Jun 12th 2010

The MuggleNet recorded a podcast with the producer of the Potter series, David Heyman. During the talk, several news about “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” came up, such as the producer’s favorite scenes in the movie and, finally, the confirmation that they have chosen the division spot of Deathly Hallows.

“The script [for Part 1] was written with an end in mind. The first draft was written with one ending and as we developed it, it went to another ending. And then we reverted in part to the original ending because we felt it allowed us a more emotional conclusion and felt like it was more complete, as it were. But we’ve added this other scene which I think is really amazing - and I can’t tell you where the break is, I’m sorry - but I do feel it will be incredibly dramatic, very moving and make people want to watch the next film.”

Which do you think will be the division spot? and what other scene will be added to this one?

Stay tuned to Ish for further news!

Mayor of London wants the theme park at the British city
//By Matheus at Jun 12th 2010

Boris Johnson, journalist and mayor of London, wrote a column to The Telegraph talking about his frustration regarding to the fact that The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, which will open its doors in a few days, was built in Orlando, and not in England, where the Potter saga was created.

“Because the fact is that Harry Potter is not American. He is British. Where is Diagon Alley, where they buy wands and stuff? It is in London, and if you want to get into the Ministry of Magic you disappear down a London telephone box. The train for Hogwarts goes from King’s Cross, not Grand Central Station.”

About the profit that the park will bring to the North American country, Boris adds:

“My point is that this Potter business has legs. It will run and run, and we must be utterly mad, as a country, to leave it to the Americans to make money from a great British invention.”

The theme park will oen its doors on June, 18th. Stay tuned to Ish!
